Beatles – The Fool On The Hill lyrics

Day after day alone on the hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool,
And he never gives an answer,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.
Well on his way his head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices talking percetly loud
But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make,
And he never seems to notice,
But the fool on the hill...
Nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do.
And he never shows his feelings,
But the fool on the hill...

Everyone says "oh man, this guy is nuts, he's a fool. don't listen, he's out of his mind, all he does is sit on this hill all day, smiling, but at what? he doesn't have anything to smile about, he's just a fool, he doesn't know anything." but the 'fool' knows he isn't the fool, it's them, the people running around, talking about him. The ones that are to busy to look at the sunset, to look at the beauty of the world. To wonder why he's smiling. To ask why he's smiling, what he knows to keep smiling. They just say he is a fool, because he's different from them.
