You wake up late for school - man you don't wanna go
You ask you mom, "Please?" - but she still says, "No!"
You missed two classes - and no homework
But your teacher preaches class like you're some kind of jerk
(chorus) You gotta fight for your right to party
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/b/beastie_boys/fight_for_your_right_to_party.html ]
You pop caught you smoking - and he said, "No way!"
That hypocrite - smokes two packs a day
Man, living at home is such a drag
Now your mom threw away your best porno mag (Bust it!)
(repeat chorus)
Don't step out of this house if that's the clothes you're gonna wear
I'll kick you out of my home is you don't cut that hair
Your mom busted in and said, "What's that noise?"
Aw, mom you're just jealous - it's the Beastie Boys!

The song was a parody and clueless teens missed it and used it as an anthem.
I think this song defines the emotional and spiritual growth of the american teenager. We follow these three youths as they grow and blosson into fine young men.
This song was their way of looking out for the kids when they recorded it. B/c i absolutely have to fight for my right to party... But in the end, it's worth it.
