You stand up pridefully in front of thousands, screaming words of justice
And truth.
You wear a mask of this city's hero. You are the pretender.
You fake, you fake, but fortunate. You wear a mask of this city's hero.
You fake, you fake, but fortunate. You are the pretender.
Your weak speech lines your gums with gold teeth, yet you don't believe in
A word that you say.
You're speaking shackles to life. Self-rightheousness is your demise.
You coward. Draw a line in the sand. You bastard. Look at what you have
Become.
Your breath it reeks of perversion.
Your tongue is just like a whore, full of vulgarity, full of the disease. [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/a/august_burns_red/poor_millionaire.html ]
Where is the life in the life you live? You are the poor millionaire.
Where is the life in the life you live? A lifeless empire, a lifeless heir.
Your crown is like a lion's mouth devouring you from the inside out.
Turn away before there's nothing left. It's life or death.
Tyrant. Ring the bells of repentance, awakening from your deathbed.
Tyrant. Ring the bells of repentance, awaken from your deathbed. Oh tyrant.
Oh tyrant.
You stand up pridefully in front of thousands, screaming words of justice
And truth.
You wear a mask of this city's hero. You are the pretender.
Coward. Coward. Where is the life in the life you live?
Where is the life in the life you live?... life you live?

This song is about christians who don't know how to be real christians and have taken things too far. They preach about their religion and try to shove it down our throats (and then damn us if we don't listen to them). They need to shut up.

This song is a protest against the rich who lie about who they really are inside. Politicians, big businessmen, wealthy people who have traded their integrity for their wealth. Their misconception about money has dominated their life and it is ultimately unfulfilled and hollow. They care for nothing but their wealth and this song is a protest against the error of their ways

To me this is the worlds leaders in a nutshell... Like really "your weak speech lines your gums with gold teeth, yet you don't believe in" wow how many politicians believe in what theyre saying? Not many... Its usually political nonsense and picjking sides.
Where is the life in the life you live? You are the poor millionaire.
Where is the life in the life you live? A lifeless empire, a lifeless heir.
^really i mean they might have everything now but they have no treasure stored up in heaven... Im not making this a fight or anything, but it really is sad. And for all of those people who say "well im not a christian because theyre so hypocritical... " you shouldnt judge christ by his followers. "i like your christ, i do not like your christians. Your christians are so unlike your christ. " even ghandi knew what chist was and he wasnt even a christian! But anyways, if you dont wanna find meanings in the songs still enjoi :) abr is still amazing
