Attack Attack! – Bro, Ashley's Here lyrics

As I stare through these tears,
I see your lips start to turn.
This world is so un-perfect,
This love is so worth it.

Won't be mistaken for another love song,
I won't go away, I won't be done wrong.
Tell me, tell me to, to live like you,
Tell me, tell me, and I'll follow through.

Get up, get up, He's calling your name,
You don't have to be something you're not.
Someday came suddenly and now I'm standing here.
Get up, get up, He's calling your name,
You don't have to be something you're not.
Someday came suddenly and now I'm left standing here.

As I stare through these tears,
I see your lips start to turn.
This world is so un-perfect,
This love is so un-worth it.
When you're here I don't need all the things I had,
Once before I was someone but that's not who I am.

I'll be the best I can for you,
I'll take this chance you will be true.
Tell me your reason why,
Tell me why you're alive.

To give to you my sin,
To give myself again.

And this is my call to the faithful,
I'll be for only you.
Doing what you, have called to me,
No one could ever understand,
My shame you took with those nails in your hands.

Get up, get up, He's calling your name,
You don't have to be something you're not.
Someday came suddenly and now I'm standing here.
Get up, get up, He's calling your name,
You don't have to be something you're not.
Someday came suddenly.

Here's to selfish living out the window,
Here's to the Holy Ghost, I will be faithful.

Here's to you I bring you new life.
Here's to you I bring you new life.

A very lovely song! It does have meaning, but I do agree, it's strange that they would mention the holy ghost. Basically, it's about a relationship that has an over worrying women that tries to understand why her relationship is so amazing, because she never realized she could be this happy. The man understands that she's happy yet always worries, so he wants to know how he could make her happy all the time, and prove that she does deserve all of this.

It's all personal opinion. I can't tell you what this song means to me because you wouldn't understand. Because it's a past experience in my life not yours. It's how my. My. Brain interprets it. If you think it's christian that's great, but that doesn't mean you have to force it on other people. Share your opinion fine, but don't force people to view it the same. Plus. Their are no facts in opinion. Just because it's "obviously" something doesn't mean other people share your views. For instance I'm not religious so to me this song isn't religious but it still hasmeaning. So this song. In fact. Is what you make of it.

They are declaring their faithfulness to jesus christ, the one who died for them on a cross for their sins. The term christian refers to people who follow jesus christ because they consider him their salvation, or their payment in place of them going to hell due to their imperfection and otherwise doom to go to hell, and as a result they love him for it and pledge their life to him. This song's lyrics infer all of this. My opinion is that the lyrics do in fact add up to that conclusion, and represent that at least the author feels that the 'world is imperfect' and that he will no longer live by the world's standards, but that he will 'give up himself' for his purposes. But I guess this song could be singing about following and living for another person who got nailed to a cross.

It's about a heartbroken boy looking for love, but not finding it. He soon realizes that nobody loves him as much as God does, and decides to find it within himself to believe in something greater than himself. "He's calling your name" is the call to grace, and the realization that he is a sinner, and only through his faith in Jesus's death and resurrection to nullify his sins, can he be saved from the power of sin and death. "My shame you took with those nails in your hands" is obviously a direct reference to Jesus's crucifixion for mankind's sins, and the Holy Ghost is mentioned, saying he will be faithful. Gotta love the lyrics.
