This song is about someone who is broken hearted by their love who didn't feel the same way. He thought their "love" would last forever, but in reality his happy stay on the carousel was short lived. He walks to the ocean, but his view of the world is convoluted now and will never be the same. His lover tells him that she saw it coming, but her words make no difference. Now his view and his heart are sick, and he wants to die.
