Sorry
I didn't mean to tread on your heart
Like a lonely face in the dark
When I saw you again
It's funny
How you never gave up your heart
Never lost your face in the dark
When I saw you again
And I know that one day I'll be back again with you
Cos it seems the best way just to see this lifetime through
If you pull your heart together it will see you through
Sorry
I didn't mean to tread on your heart
Like a lonely face in the dark
When I saw you again
Your story
Never caught a place in my heart
Never saught a fight in the dark
When I saw you again
And I know that one day I'll be back again with you
Cos it seems the best way just to see this lifetime through
I can make or break you but I'm gonna put you through

This song was also called Downtrodden Heart but its was a bit of a crap title so I went with Sorry..even though you should never apologise! It was written about treading over peoples hearts..sometimes you can't help it, fate can throw you together and you have to be big enough to say no sometimes. Its like putting out a spider and accidentally killing it in the process..its the thought that counts!
