Alabama – His Eye Is On The Sparrow lyrics

Why should I feel discouraged?
And why should the shadows come?
And why should my heart be lonely
And long for heaven and home?

When Jesus is my portion
My constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

And I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I am free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

Let not your heart be troubled
His tender word I hear
And resting on His goodness
I lose my doubts and fears

Though by the path He leads us
But one step I may see
His eye is on the sparrows
And I know He watches me

And I sing because I'm happy
And I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

God remembers all who are small and insignifigant according to the world we live in, but in the spirtual world god loves us all. I am refered to as sparrow, I am strugling to not be troubled right now. "let not your heart be troubled his tender word i hear and resting on his goodness i lose my doubts and fears" I could use some help on that one! I know what it means. I just feel forgoten!
