Its amazing how music can bring fire to the mind and soul... What an amazing interpretation of ones view of mankind through music and lyrical representation... Mankind has only driven itself to where we are today and unfortunately only an act of god(s) intervention will right the wrong of the greed and selfishness that become the fall of mankind... Maybe oneday the true kings and queens will rise again to lead all of humanity to a peaceful place in time...

Think of the kings and queens as adam and eve, or maybe just humanity itself. If your looking to relate to the song... Its about falling from grace, or losing yourself, and having a long way to go to get back to your former glory. It is about the realization that you have a long way to go, but are willing to fight to be a "king and queen," again.

Obviously this song is about humanity having lost its connection to god and trying to regain it. The "children of a lesser god" line is not deminishing god but refering to our inabilty to hear him (children of a lesser god is a play/movie about deafness). The song starts of with god (father) speaking, calling us to fight evil and to live up to our "promise. " the song ends when those who have listened regain their positions as "kings and queens. "

It's clearly an indictment of humanity and what we've squandered. Billin seems to be closest, but i disagree with the interpretation of the ending. The lessons have only just began, but we will find out about them not on this world. We've wasted that opportunity.
