So Long, Good-bye lyrics

Songwriters: Hasek, Jesse; Vodinh, Brian; Wantland, Matt

Keep changing your mind.
Like clouds in the sky.
Love me when your high.
Leave me when you cry.
I know it all takes time.
Like a river running dry when the suns to bright.

So long this is goodbye.
May we meet again in another life.
Like strangers passing by.
May we see clearly in a different light.

Keep dodging lights.
Like a thief in the night.
The sun will rise and expose all the lies.
So why deny that you and I lead different lives.
The rivers from your eye's can't change my mind.

So long this is good-bye.
Maybe we'll meet again in another life.
Like strangers passing by.
Maybe we'll see clearly in a different light.

Ohh...
The rivers from your eye's can't change my mind.

So long this is goodbye.
May we meet again in another life.
Like strangers passing by.
May we see clearly in a different light.

this reminds me of me and my ex boyfriend.i loved him but i kept hurting him because of all my insecurities and problems. in the end he had to do what he had to do to keep himself from being hurt anymore. no matter how much i cried and said i loved him,he left.sometimes we do hurt the ones we love, because we know they will always love us and forgive us.or so we think.when you go around hurting yourself just to feel something, hurting others because you dont know how to be healthy emotionally, people finally stay away. you think people push you away, but sometimes its you pushing them,so they start pulling away.
sometimes love just isn't enough.i think he wants them to be together, but only when they can stop being hurt.

I think his girlfriend is on drugs and he is leaving her.

I believe it's about a guy leaving a girl, or vice versa, because in their particular situation, it's the right thing to do, beacuase part of the reason he's leaving i because of all the stuff she's lied about and because they're just so different. And because the person leaving is completely sure of that it really is the right thing to do, her begging and crying can't change his mind.
