I love this song! I feel that it means his life has been shattered by someone who didn't want him to be himself in his previous relationship. Someone who made light of his dreams and asperations and made him all confused and out of ballance with what he realy wanted in life and in a relationship. And now he has met someone who treats him right. Someone who loves him for him instead of being manipulative and playing games. But becuase of this previous relationship he is still dealing with the broken peaces of his life and the confusion caused by his first relationship. So to me this song is a beutiful message of moving on with your life and loving again after being hurt and also dealing with the issues in your life that your past toxic relationships have caused.-- D
