This song is basically about how she loves him, but he's no good to her. She's sick and tired of his attutude and she doesn't feel like she knows him anymore. He ruins her day. She can't believe in him. He makes her feel unwanted. He pushes down her dreams and makes her feel miserable just to keep him on her mind.
To me, he isn't the type of boyfriend I'd want. He doesn't sound loyal or at all nice.

It's about watching something fade away in a relationship. Taylor Swift said that she felt that she achieved something authentic and raw when she wrote this song. It is about when Joe Jonas broke up with her on the phone. She said it starts out like a pretty melody you can sing to then ends up being this mad song because of how mad she got when she wrote it. She said she was practicly screaming at the end of the song.

"Come in with the rain" is an old expression meaning that when bad times come, people come to their senses and realize what they wanted was there the whole time. She is tired of trying to get this guy to like her so she is just going to wait until he realizes that he likes her too. She isn't going to sing songs about him or keep trying to get his attention, but sooner or later he will come to her.
