This song is highly relatable. I always feel as if I can't talk to the guy that I'm interested in, and I always play this song for strength whenever I'm weak. It gives me that little hope needed that it will be ok, that maybe, just maybe he feels the same way. It's so hard to just sit here and not say anything, and this song just puts it's heart out there for me. I absolutely love dashboard confessionals.

Well, missy higgins has a way with words most definitely. There is something about this song in particular though that just stood out to me. I feel as if she's lost in this thing called love. She fell in love, nothing signifigant from any other song, except for in her experience she knows what it is like to love someone unconditionally. She loved this certain someone with everything that she had, she was taken to places that she never imagined going, she was pushed to do things that she didn' plan on doing in this realtionship. Then, suddenly, he turned on her, he turned and walked out like nothing ever happened. She's just aking herself what went wrong, becasue it was there, and now it's nothing. Hense why it states "I was alive and now I've drowned." I just know what she feels like. The sympathy is here, and no matter how much she hates him, everytime he comes back and sweeps her off of her feet, and changes all of her merrily little ways just to be thrown down again, She falls for him everytime, and everytime she ends up hurting falling straight down a hole. Everyone speaks opinions about how she was stupid for not saying no, but "they weren't there" and they have no idea how he treated her whenever they were alone.
