This is NOT the BERLIN lyrics . His song was originally titled "Maybe I Love You Too Much" but since the 1st line was - Maybe (it's because) I love you too much at some point in time those words were ADDED to the title.
Another song written by Johnny Scott & Harry Ruby with the title, "Maybe It's Because" is the one containing the lyrics "Maybe it's because the kiss you gave me, touched my heart & went right thru" Please correct this. It is very confusing.
