Mulan is based in china, where she is forced to act in a certain way, so she can become a good bride, and to honer her family. She thinks that because her personality is not girly like everyone wants her to be, she will never be a bride. She also thinks no one knows who she is, and she doesn't know who she is either. But as the movie goes on, she finds her true self, and doing what she thinks it right is right.
