Lumiwanag ang buwan
San Juan
The persona the song is referring to is Pepsi Paloma who was raped in a hotel in San Juan. The men who took advantage of her were celebrities who got her so drunk.

Gintong alak diyan sa paligid mo
This is stark reference to a particular Italian drink they call schnapps or Italian golden schnapps. Can't remember exactly, but I read somewhere that it is so strong and so intoxicating. Someone who drank too much of it would definitely forget where they are and what they're doing.

At ngayon
Di pa rin alam
Kung ba't tayo nandito
Pwede bang itigil muna
Ang pag-ikot ng mundo
When you're drunk and the world is spinning and you forget where you are and why you're there. Intoxication basically.

I think the band is awesome and this is one of the proofs. The song is catchy and the lyrics are easy to follow. If you don't know the story of the poor teenager back in the '80s well, you would probably think this song is about guys getting you drunk. Then the song mentioned specific people. I think it is just perfect it did because you get to know what it really is about. Pepsi Paloma, may your soul rest in peace, this song is about you and what happened when you were taken advantage of by Vic, Joey and Richie and with the help of Tito Sotto. Ely Buendia must have come across your story and wanted everyone to know the horrors you went through. I guess through this song, there is a kind of justice knowing that what happened to you isn't forgotten. And that by creating this song, Ely and the rest of the Eheads made sure in their artistic way that you are not alone. The beautiful story telling behind the poetic lyrics.
