Let love like that starlight on that first Christmas morn
Lead us back to the manger where Christ the child was born
We will celebrate Christmas because of Jesus Christ, the reason of the season! We will celebrate Christmas because of the baby wrap in a cloth and place in a manger - Christmas is all about Jesus Christ alone! Christmas is all about our Lord Jesus Christ and nothing else! This season may we never forget the love we have for Jesus
Jesus is the Christ, the reason of celebrating Christmas. Christmas is celebrated in remembrance of His birth. Matthew 1:18-25 tells us "how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about..." Mary, a virgin pledged to be married to Joseph "conceived a baby in her (womb) is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son"... and his "name" is "Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." This fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us"). Christ is the reason of celebrating Christmas which we hope during "this season may we never forget the love we have for Jesus." Or in other words, "may we never forget God's love of giving us Jesus - to save his people from their sins."

Let's light our Christmas trees for a bright tomorrow
Where nations are at peace,
And all are one in God
According to history, Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition in the 16th century. It was a century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes. Some built Christmas pyramids of wood and decorated them with evergreens and candles if wood was scarce. It is a widely held belief that Martin Luther, the 16th-century Protestant reformer, first added lighted candles to a tree. Walking toward his home one winter evening, composing a sermon, he was awed by the brilliance of stars twinkling amidst evergreens. To recapture the scene for his family, he erected a tree in the main room and wired its branches with lighted candles.

We light our Christmas tree in remembrance of the morning star which is Christ - who was born to light our life and fill it with hope and amazing grace from Christ alone.

Wherever there are people
Giving gifts exchanging cards
I believe that Christmas is truly in our hearts
Gifts was mention in Matthew 2:11 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Giving gifts and exchanging cards has been part of celebrating Christmas. It became part of our tradition in remembrance of the time when the wise men gave gifts - gifts may be presented in materials and or through cards. Sharing the message of Love...

I remember the child in the manger as he sleeps
Manger is a feeder that is made of carved stone, wood, or metals construction and is used to hold food for animals. A manger is also a Christian symbol, associated with nativity scenes where Mary, forced by necessity to stay in a stable instead of an inn, used a manger as a makeshift bed for her baby. The child in the manger is Jesus. Luke 2:7 "and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them."

Whenever I see girls and boys
Selling lanterns on the street
Lantern it is mention in John 18:3, that tells us "So Judas came to the grove, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons." Lantern is usually a portable protective case for a light with transparent opening - therefore, lantern is similar to lamp and torch with its purpose to give light.

Psalms 119 tells us that the word of God "is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." So lantern is part of Christmas to give us light which symbolizes God's Word that guide us to Christ - the reason of celebrating CHRISTmas.
