I would say its about a guy. He reali digs this one girl and hes inlove with her. Hes the one who messed up the relationship they had. Be it he cheated or I don't know he did something "it was me who drove us right in the ground" he regrets doing what he did. He realizes he realy loves her and the times they spent together was so precious and he thinks about her all the time and just wants her back. He smokes and drinks because he just misses her so much and smoking and drinking helps him deal with the loss of her and the fact that she doesn't want him back. True that. I can relate so well to this song!
