As people said, its about the Columbine shooting, a man asked Cassie if she beleived in god, if she said no he wouldnt kill her, if she said yes he would. She says yes he kills her. Then he asked that to Rachel, she says yes, he shoots her, but she doesn't die, he asked her again, she still says yes, and he shoots her again and she dies. Its about how if you really truly beleive in something that you wouldn't betray it for anything.

I beleive this song is about taking a chance, that things are gonna happen, things will get messed up, they might not always go as planned but you can't live your whole life hiding and playing it safe. And also that a lt of the time people will give you the chance to take a chance but tht sometimes you have to bring it n yourself. This is what I think, I could be wrong but I

I think it means that she cheated on him, and that hes not gonna be the one that ruined everything that it'll be her and that what goes around comes around so what she did will make her alone. Also that when he says "theres truth in your lies doubt in your faith", that he means that nothing is true, all her lies arent complete lies her faith isn't real faith. Yup, go lp, great guitar work and I love his voice xd.

As most have said it sounds like hes talking about a realtionship that was great but somewhere along the lines things started falling apart and the girl was blaming him for it. But as a few others have said I beleive it could also mean that but for just 2 really close friends, and they grow apart and he is blamed for it. I also think that to the writer of the song it means something way different then what we say, that there is some hidden meaning in his words as there is in a lot of songs.

But I am tired of people sayig, oh the song means this. It could mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. It is merely what you people think the song means. Like I as said in my post thinks it is talking about suicide, even though a lot of people said its just about breaking away from your parents, I beleive it goes down a lot deeper than that, like when I listen to the lyrics each line has a meaning to me all talking about suicide. But seriously.

To me this song is about suicide. When he says I made it through the day, it means that he made it through even though hes so depressed. The "Why you always running in place, literally means, he never gets anywhere". So then he wants his parents to understand that its his life and his chice to end it, and that hes not mad, he wants to give someone else a second chance by leaving them. So then he doesn't want people to cry about his death, that hes not afraid because he knows it what he in his mind has to do. And he wants people to listen to what hes saying right now because he can't say it again after hes dead. Then the corus again. Blah, blah, blah. But I love this song, and this is merely what I beleive it means, I could be wrong xd.

Its simply about how his girlfriend is a drunk, and he keeps trying to help her and only ends up hurting himslef again and again, yup we've all covered that. I can really relate to this song. Me and my ex had been talking alot he just broke up with her and he still likes her he just thought it was best for them both, and his brother died, so I try to help, then we end up going out again, which was my mistake cuz guess what he breaks my heart again. I try to help it makes me happy for a couple days, but that little bit of happiness wont make up for the amount of pain that follows the break up. I just hope what goes around comes round and he gets hit by a bus or something :)
