Annihilated by shame, he asks to Ukko's sword if it will agree to kill him: the weapon, being only a tool and being forged to kill, cares not about who's life it takes, and agrees eagerly. Thus Kullervo throws himself on the sword, killing himself.

He heads back to his homeland.
He rides fast like a storm wind
But the flames in the horizon,
Tell there is only death to be found
Kullervo, due to his wild nature, cannot work inside the house of his family, so is sent to collect the tributes due to his father: along the road, he finds a beggar girl who he seduces, discovering only after that she's his lost sister. Full of shame, he heads back to break the news to the family: he then vows revenge on Untamo. He obtains the sword of the god Ukko, and with that he destroys his uncle's clan: but when he comes back, he finds all his relatives dead, including his mother and his sister, who has committed suicide.

Probably referred to Kullervo, hero of the finnish national saga, the Kalevala. His family had been destroyed by his uncle Untamo, brother to Kullervo's father, Kalervo.
Sold as a slave by his uncle, he flees after killing with a curse his mistress, the wife of Ilmarinen (legenday blacksmith), and manages to find his family.
