This song is about the Vietnam War and all the atrocities the public blamed the soldiers for when they came back from war. It talks about how Vietnam veterans weren't given any help or coping strategies and how the public were very insensitive towards them when they came back even though many soldiers were conscripted and some may have even been against war.

The soldiers who came back from the Vietnam war just wanted love and support yet they didn't get it because the public saw the atrocities of was for the first time and blamed the soldiers who came home from the war, although many were conscripted.
