The poor guy here likes this girl, but she clearly doesn't feel the same way. Yet she keeps him hoping that she does, for whatever reason it may be; the attention, to get back at someone or maybe for reasons she don't even know herself. The situation here seems they are sorta seeing each other rather than dating, where the guy is doing all he can for the girl cos he likes her, and he just wants her to like him back. She dosnt quite lead him on, yet she doesn't let him go either. The guy beleives things are going somewhere but the girl is never interested,. "your hearts been wasted on me". To her this is just nothing, taking waht she can get along the way.

Its like ending it in the best way possible, they know the relationship is on its way out but they want it to finish on a good note. I sorta see an angle where the words "if u have to go, always know u shine brighter than anyone" go out to the person who's leaving. Like as if saying hey I really liked being with you, but if that's not what you want then I still thankyou for the time we had. And miss very much.

Not too sure what the verses are bout, but the chorus seems like being stuck in a situation that's halfway from somewhere but on the way to nowhere. "its all a game i know we'll stay the same" Like you could keep trying for something, or someone, but no matter how hard you try no progess seems to be made. Yet you know if it keeps going on like this it wont work out. "repetiton ends in failure" What keeps you going is telling urse; f is that you believe when things stop being the same a new fresh start will happen, leaving the past behind focusing on the future. "when repetiton ends, we'll start over" Holding onto to something n not letting go, is like being caught in repetition. And sometimes you need an ending at any cost cos it'll be for the best no mater what.
