I think this is a song about someone going through a rough patch "despite these rains" & their wondering when its gonna end "how long,how far", b'cus they haven't taken the chances to resolve the problem & their against time "how fast" & then its just saying that they an get through it "amy was a fighter" Then again I would think of that b'cus I'm going through a similar thing;) I'm just glad theres a song out there about me =P Swithcfoot! =] x
