This song was originally sung by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. It was sung by a man. It is the song of a man who has taken lsd and had an experience which has made him humble and gentle, as well as has opened his eyes in to the beauty beyond ordinary beauty. The images in the song of him and his girlfriend seem to be as he saw himself and her while he was on acid. He is reassuring her "I won't hurt you." - perhaps he used to be violent before, but now, with his greater understanding, he sees that violence is primitive, and now she no longer needs to fear harm from him, only love and kindness. Perhaps even his molecules have been reorganized - "Torn apart by a fiery wheel inside me." (It's not "fiery will" it's "fiery wheel." Also, it's not "so good it is to know you're like me." it's "so good to know your lightning.")
