I see this song as being a literal cry to heaven, to God, saying that war is going on. Children are seeing terrifying unjustifiable things happen before their eyes. Good people "white mouse", get hurt by evil ones "black cat" mercilessly. And kids can't do anything but sit and watch through their struggling illusion that everything is okay. There is so much loss in the world, and without mercy.

These lines seem to refer to the battle that is life. Even though it's hard, there is always hope at the end of the day, and for some, that hope comes in the form of God.

This song is basically (to me), about how a partner can coat bitter hatred in sweet promises of a great life for the relationship, but in the end, this just ends up hurting the other one. They feel dead, but they also want more of the lies, just so they can feel wanted. Heck, it doesn't even speak exclusively to relationships: anybody who lies and then stabs a friend in the back is described by this song. They still want more, but it's always laced with poison.

I think this is where my username comes in: Society sucks. It's all structured to the extreme, and it's not only creating mindless little robots, but it's also preventing any actual learning from happening. Children in this kind of school system have their creativity outlawed, and are being shaped into stupid little things to be shipped off into the real world where- guess what?- the exact same kind of thing will happen. The children need to just be children, and not have to worry about "did I get this homework done" or "better not get on teach's bad side." This song really reminds me of the book 1984, and the Hitler Youth: it's just conformity, and this is the only way they can protest against it. "Education" meaning what they pass as education in a lot of these public school systems. They're saying, "don't tell me what to do and force me to conform to this dull social system!" Can't wait til I'm out of school.

This song is about the simple brotherhood of friends. The song sounds simple enough, but I know people who forget what it really means. This song is a pledge to always be there for their brother. No matter what happens, they will always be there in the other's heart, because they are their brother, "forever as one."
