It is about a man who is now laying in his death bed remembering what an awful sinner he was in his youth so now he wants someone to tell him hes a good man so he can (think that he will) go to heaven. I'm 14 and I figured this out. But He realizes moments before his death that what he did was unforgivable and that he is doomed to hell.
