This is for Briannajoyce. If my opinion matters to you at all. I would suggest that as long as your brother is safe, not going to hurt himself & kept an eye on. Do the least possible for him! Let him function how he "thinks" he can & do not bring up rehab. In time, when he has more trouble getting by, he will realize on his own, that he does need rehab! I say this from personal experience. Someone I was close to & it took a long time, but he finally realized he needed rehab & to this day, he is still clean & sober! The least we tried to tell him that we loved him & he was hurting people close to him, (while everyone was doing everything for him) When we stopped & backed off & he realized he had to fend for himself. In time, he did realize on his own that rehab was the answer! I wish you & your mother well. Keep your chin up! "when you hit rock bottom, there's only 2 ways to go!!!" Right?!?!?
