Meaning
This is either a suicidal song, or a break up song. "So, this isn't where you thought we'd be, You explained. And now, you leave it up to me." The above lines seem to make it look like a Breakup song. "Farewell, my love. Say "hello" to state lines, separate our whole life. Farewell, my love. Say "goodbye" to girlfriend, you'll text her from the road." These lines seem to be kinda suicidal, saying that the guy has had enough of the stuff the girl is doing, and is walking out of the relationship. Idk, it's my opinion.

Meaning
It's easy to tell that this is about a guy that loves a girl so much. So much that he is perfectly happy for her being with another guy. He also states that no matter what she goes through, he will always be there to catch her when she falls. This is a really strong statement, and many girls should know that if they are falling, and there is a guy that catches them, then they should be with that guy, for he will never go anywhere. He will be there for her every minute of every day.
