The demon saying that once Jeremy does whatever he's trying to get him to do, whether it be rape, kill, or whatever he wants to do to this poor girl. While it is true that true romance takes risks, the demon is twisting those words and using them in a bad context - you know, one that deals with the stuff I said above. The demon is pretending to want the best for Jeremy, but while Jeremy knows that it's immoral, the demon is starting to take over at this point.

Jeremy has, at this point, kidnapped the object of his affections. His evil side desires her to be his and only his, so the evil monster is trying to get Jeremy to go after what he wants. Since the demon and Jeremy are basically the same person with the same desires (but with the demon having a more glorified version of said emotion or desire), it's basically saying, 'hey, you want this, and so do I, so you need to take the only chance you have to have what you really want."

This demon is a psycho. This demon is really scary and is going to victimize this girl to whatever kind of torture he can think of apparently, and Jeremy is trying to warn someone (the girl? The rest of society? His loved ones?) that this demon will do anything for his desires.

All of the torment and frowning upon by society would cause anyone to snap at some point. Because Jeremy can't get this girl combined with his psycho personality, this demon is going to come out and get all of the deep, dark desires Jeremy has.

His demons, or the side of him that is completely insane, is taking over control. He has this girl bound in front of him (in the music video), and his demon has an idea as to what to do with this girl, so he calls it a nightmare that is trying to take over his actions.

He's doing exactly what society tells him to do. Jeremy is doing anything for his dreams. But when he sings 'if only I knew', he sounds like he's trying to say 'Oh, but these little b*tches were hiding the truth from me, and didn't tell me not to do anything that makes me demented, insane, and unnaccepted'. This may be implying that Jeremy doesn't just have another personality that is controlling him, but that he himself is slightly mixed with that personality, which happens to be a psychopath, which leads to his nightmare.

Jeremy is trying to come to terms with the result something he did, which will be hinted at later in the song, and also the music video (which I will refer to many times). He was doing what society told him to do, which was live his life the way he wanted to and do whatever he needed to get to his dreams, but obviously, that isn't going to work out for him, which is why he sings these lyrics with a bit of an increasingly angry tone.
