This song is about a girl named Aisha. She was a prisoner in the war and Jared was actually the one who helped her. Shes saying how shes thankful for the heroes who saved her. She ended up dying by being shot. During that war her and her people decided to fight back. That is how she ended up dying by being shot by the enemy.

It actually about God. Lacey wrote it because she knew either the band would split up, or one of the members would leave. The original version is off of the EP called "Broken Wings". The Lyrics "thank you for being such a friend to me, oh I pray a friend for life, and have I ever told you how much you mean to me." means that she's thanking everyone in the band for being her best friends. Which is why on her last album "New Horizons" this song was on there. She was saying bye to Pat, Jared, James, and Sameer. But she was also saying bye to us, her fans.
