Like Patricia1940, this song starts the tears flowing. I have recordings of both Patrick O'Hagan and Father Paul Gurr singing this. With relationships today breaking up at the first hint of trouble, I just love the thought of an eternal love especially as I have recently lost the man who walked with me for fifty years. We held hands through the joys and tears and loved each other unceasingly. I miss him so much and know that his hand will be reaching for mine when the great call comes.
