@12: 42 The song is actually about an Atheist daughter of Christian man. Micah explained the album's concept in an interview. The song looks like it's written from the daughter's point of view, and her questioning god and her father's beliefs. It talks about how it's hard to live as god/the bible tells you, when in life "Lions always kill the lambs" or in other words, the bad guys always win. God gave her a train with no tracks or wood build/burn for steam, meaning he gave her life but never told her where to go or what to do. She's confused on what she should belief, and why. @12: 07 Oh, Sleeper is not a band that makes songs solely praising god or happy subjects. Many songs are written about stories of people with a lack of faith. An even better example was in the last album the song "Son of the Morning" was written entirely from the point of view of Satan mocking God. Yes, they are Christian but they're not afraid to make controversial songs, and that's why their albums are so powerful. Everyone struggles in life with their beliefs, no one walks around accepting everything they hear or read without questioning it in the back of their heads.
