When they paint the white roses red, they were crying, because they know that if you paint flowers, the chances are that the flowers will not grow any longer. Also, because the paint if stiffening the petals, the flowers would die pretty darn soon. And while saying, "and yet we go ahead painting the roses red' even though it makes them sad to kill the pretty roses, they have too. If they don't, then the Queen of Hearts will be REALLY mad at them and yell, "off with their heads! " So that's why. Boom.
