He interprets himself as a demon, inflicting pain upon himself in a means of suicide. Then, on the brink of death, someone came along and must have inspired him, and he fell in love with her light, transfixed and fascinated with the opposite element, and he realizes that he is changing, less violent. And he finds this happening the more he falls in love with her light and kindness, her angelic personality. Heaven is closer with her. And that scares him to death. That someone like him is able to love.

Hes sorry hes a vampire, the pain and loneliness is unbearable, yet so is the thirst for blood to end the parch in his throat. He may never fall in love, for fear of killing the one he cares about, and realy, he cannot be near any human. He was once wrapped in a good life, and now he is burning inside with sadness. Hes not bad, he doesn't want to hurt any1, he just doesn't want to hurt alone. He can't get relief, enemy wolves tear at his dreams, and he knows that not only is he the heartbroken, but heartbreaker.

My interpretation of this song is that two people struggling to overcome the torment life is putting them through make a decision. They are in love and their attachment brings them to a conclusion of suicide. Driving into a crash, leaping from a deadly cliff, or descent off a building; any form of death she chooses, he wil be sure to follow into the next life, they wil go together. They will use a skyway, or flight to get through to ther death, knowing that people will remember their love, death, & hurt.

Hes a sinner, everyones a sinner, and hes saying that hes been alone and consumed in his wrongdoings and loneliness. He feels trapped within himself, and is pleading for help to escape the pain, which the lord ends up answering. For all of you who think he was contemplating suicide, you might be right, if his situation was drastic enough. Mostly, it means that he is trying to untangle himself from the mess he's created inside himself.

I think this is based on a crumbling relationship. The man is searching to find the "fire in her eyes", but instead finds empty nothingness. He realizes slowly that they are breaking, and the more he searches for their past desire, the more the hole in his heart grows. It is obvious that he is still entirely in love with her, and once the realization of the unrequited love sinks in, he wants the hurt to stop, tells her, "Get away please" He's praying, waiting, hurting, and will eventually start hating her.
