This is so much like on of the characters in my story; S is C's childhood friend, but he's always had a crush on her. She's too dear to him to risk getting into a relationship with, because it might end badly or worse - she might not feel that way about him at all. She's also got a lot of other guys vying for her attention, so he's always wondering how she could ever pick him out of all the other guys, most of which have a better personality - not to mention much better looks - than him.

This is exactly the way I feel about my older brother; he's bipolar or something, so he gets crazy-mean sometimes, and calls me out on all my crap. Even when he's better, he doesn't appreciate anything creative I do, and when I used to run around with my imaginary friends when I was little, he would act like I was an idiot. Granted, he's three years older than me and hates reading while my dream is to be a writer, but still.

This is a perfect example of my fav couple in a story I'm writing; the girl, Nihatsu, became really good friends with a guy, Zalah, to the point where he was a better friend than her best friend, and she fell for him. They almost kissed twice, but he chickened out both times. She ends up dating another guy, but only because her former best friend stole her first guy away, and she wishes that she was with Zalah instead.

Oh, and on a side note; this song is especially true for my other post, since Booth dressed up as a squint for Halloween, but by the end of the episode the costume was so ruined that he teamed up with Bones, who was dressed as Wonder Woman, to say that they were her and Clark Kent who had just been on a bad date or something. And since it was cut off last time - Booth *heart* Brennan forever. ^^

This song reminds me of Bones. Mainly the lyric; "To save the world, or go to work - It's the same thing to me." After that, it all just falls into place. "I always forget to tell you I love you." So, so true! ^^ And, [Spoiler alert!] when Bones goes off to the tropical island whatever it was called, and Booth goes to serve in the military, it brings to mind the lyric; "And I watch you fly around the world, Hope you don't take some other girl." Graw, I hope things work out in the end! Booth.

I'll say the obvious - this is a song about unrequited or unobtainable love. But it clearly goes beyond just the "I love her, she doesn't love me" part. With the lines "Never had real love before," and "His love is all she knows," it seems that she has a boyfriend, but he doesn't really love her. Or at least not as much as Bruno Mars does. Personally, I think it sounds like her boyfriend is the kind who says he "loves" her, then abuses her and makes her become so dependent on him that she can't leave him. I think the lines "Once again you're home alone, Tears running from your eyes," "Everyday, same old things, So you're still feelin' pain," and especially "All she knows is the pain, In the corner of an empty home, She's still comfortable," support this. But then again, it could be that she has a father who is abusive, is never home, and is possibly a drunk. The lines about the empty home seem to support this. Though Bruno saying "But would that be selfish?" tilt it more towards the boyfriend theory. Either way, this is such a beautiful song, one of my favourites. Bruno Mars is such a great singer, has wonderful songs, and I hope he'll keep writing and singing great songs like this.

I think it's supposed to be "Waiting for the roads to be lain" not "Waiting for the roads to be late.":/ Anyway I just love this song! ^^ Reminds me of a story where a girl has never really loved or really cared about anyone, and suddenly she finds herself watching a guy leave her life as she realizes that he's everything she's ever wanted and that she loves him deeply. I especially love the lyric; "And I want uncharted." I think it's saying, "This hurts so much, but I want this pain." Like she'd rather have her heart hurt from a broken heart than to never have loved at all. Overall such a beautiful song, such an awesome meaning, and I just love how she slips the album name, "Kalediscope Heart" in. :)

I love this song so much, especially the meaning. A character from a story I'm writing is in a similar situation - she's falling in love with a boy, but not only does he have a girlfriend, but he's also hurt her too much in the past for her to just let herself be with him. And at the same time she doesn't want to admite she's in love with him. My favourite part of the song, though, is the end, "If this is love, please don't break me, I give up, so please just catch me," where she realizes that she can't deny it anymore, and lets herself fall for him.
