Like the bulk of material in tools catalogue, from opiate to 10, 000 days & even puscifer & apc, I think there are some fairly obvious allusions to enlightenment, w/some pretty heavy cabalistic metaphors. Although its purely an assumption, I don't think its far fetched to assume there are ties to the oto, golden dawn or some other esoteric fraternal order constantly being referenced in mjk's lyrics. Which, like the gnostics, take advantage of a wide variety of symbolism from all faiths in order to achieve that enlightenment. Constant references to the 2 & 1, astrology, evolution, ego, aenima, all point to a fairly obvious goal. Union of the subconscious and conscious mind to attain this enlightenment. But who knows? It's good music, thought provoking, and like its already been said, means what it means to everyone in a unique way.
