Believe it or not, this TRUE. Brantley got off the road, the truck flipped (I think) 6 times, and hit a tree. Brantley got thrown out of the truck, landed on his feet, and was unconscious.

This is saying "The only way to die, is fighting" and pays tribute to both friends and anyone who died fighting. Amen is what you say after a prayer. An amen basically means your message can be heard by god, so perhaps Brantley meant something by that since it's about going out fighting. "Until the good Lord calls you home" means dying and going to heaven.

He's talking about his friend who died in action. As someone else explained, at Military funerals they fold a flag into a triangle and fire off 21 rifles. You can think about this as an homage to all military if you'd like.
