This song is about a crack addicted teen that the possibly gay leadsinger Isaac Slade took under his wing at a camp. alotta people tried to reach him but no one could thus creating the line "had i known how to save a life"
I found this song likeable when i first heard it, but once I began researching Isaac Slade, and speaking to Daniel Battenhouse I realized that the fray is corporate rock trash who have turned into cold professionals ever since the amazing composing skills of Daniel Battenhouse left them. Isaac, the frontman for the band has the worlds ugliest face, it looks like it belongs on a pig, and Joe King has issues with his father that he throws in everyone's face...Dan and Dave, was it are the only members of the fray that are worth a damn. |
