The song is a good play on the conundrum of after-life and plays with the uncertainty principle that it suggests with it

Everyday I ask myself what will I have to do to be a man?
Do I have to stand and fight to prove to everybody who I am?
Is that what my life is for to waste in a world full of war

The poet asks rhetorically if the solution to all questions in the world is : war, and that is it necessary to participate to create your identity to the world.
