The Christian theme of this lyric is quite strong. The person that is needed, as mentioned in the lyric could also refer to a woman he needs in his life, but somehow this interpretation doesn't fit in with all the lyrics. It's about someone who has had a lot of problems and questions in his life. He realizes he needs God and the voice of God becomes the water his life desperately needs. Now because of this he is free from all the past problems that were in his life.

It was first the upbeat catchy tune that made me like this song, but once I heard the lyrics I realized it had a refreshing rare message in it. The message of the song is simple yet practical, you need to choose not to cheat, if you want to stay faithful. The lyrics outline a few facts that one should know to resist temptations.

"
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here
I think this is the essence of these lyrics, that no matter how far you fall or how lost you are, you can never ever run from yourself. You can get out of contact with anyone, move every from anyone but you can never leave yourself. So you really have no where to run from yourself. Salvation: “something that saves someone or something from danger or a difficult situation“. Regardless of what you believe about salvation, in order to receive salvation you need to be open to it. So salvation must start with you making the decision to accept it. It cannot start any other way.

This is obviously a song about unrequited love. Whether the couple in here were in a relationship, were former lovers or never really were together is unknown and doesn't really matter to the emotions expressed and feelings felt. Through simple lyrics and through painting the image of a woman lying in the arms of a man who doesn't love her, the lyrics provide a good feel of what unrequited love can be. A one-sided affair, even though two people are involved. They both know what is and what isn't there, but the one in love finds it very hard to let go of her love. I don't think of this lyric as some lovey-dovey romantic song. I actually think its about someone who’s in an abusive relationship but is too addicted to the elated feeling to really see the abuse. My interpretation really has nothing to do with fifty shades of grey, because I have neither read the books or seen the movie, but from what I've heard about the story, it does seem related. The entire lyrics are about what she (the abused, in my opinion) feels about the abuser, who has "swept her off her feet" and with whom she seems to be in love.
