saily95, I think it's more of number 1.
No man shows greater love
Than when a man lays down his life
For his beloved
>This seems to be taken from John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. " The members of Flyleaf are Christian as individuals, as we all know. Their faith most probably influences their lyrics. |

we spend too much time paying attention on worldly things which will all go gone anyway... we need to understand that life is life, and not a contest of who is the richest.
Only now did I realize the deep meaning of this song... |

they covered two songs and combined them. The latter is from Hillsong United and the first part is from David Crowder I think.
At least they're not ashamed of their faith. Good job. |

dudes, to each his or her own opinion. for a Christian, this could mean that God's omnipresence is manifesting; that she believes in Him and she gives up her whole self... following what Jesus said in Luke 9:23... They are, as individuals, Christians after all. for anyones else, this could mean anything they make it to be.. a love song... and emo song... a sentimental song... doesn't matter.
Bottom line is, only Flyleaf can say what the song is about; they wrote it. let's not get too heated up about |

They are Christian, and I can definitely see the lyrics being written in God's point of view.
Good job Flyleaf. |
