The theme in the song above is that though a loved friend or relative, or perhaps both is gone, you will see them again. You will miss them but you just need to power through your grief and pain. Just keep in mind that though you can not see them now, eventually you will. Keep faith, constantly remind yourself of this possibility. But, even though the pain of remembering the ones who have gone is hard, you must remember them or else they are gone to the word, and soon enough to yourself. Carry them wherever you go, keep that pain as a reminder of the joy you will soon feel when you see them again.

In the final stanza of the song, the author wraps up her idea and theme, leaving the listener with something to think about. The author uses repetition to make her point clear. By repeating the words "Til I see you again..." its clear that she believes that this person isn't gone from here life for good. That though that certain person was gone unexpectedly, their connection continues, they will be reunited soon.

Thoroughly explaining multiple times, the author will never forget the ones she has lost. She will carry them wherever she goes, always remembering who they are and who they were. Constantly reminding herself that this isn't the end of the road for their connection, soon enough (or so she believes) they will be together.

Sometimes the author is feeling broken, as if they can not continue through the pain and grief, as if its too much. But she encourages us to continue, to the time where you shall see that dear departed friend or relative. No matter the things that come across path, continue on your life journey.

The author uses more imagery in these lines, as well as in the previous lines. "I can hear the echoes in the wind at night" is a perfect example of imagery, appealing to the sense of hearing. The lines state that though you are gone, certain things call to me bringing me mentally back in time, to times with you.

The entire song basically explains how even though a certain loved one is gone, you will eventually see them again in the after life. In these particular lines, the author uses imagery and metaphors to help explain just how the character feels. Using imagery "faded into the setting sun, slipped away" the author is trying to make the reader/listener feel their lose but realize they will see them again.
