Sounds like someone moving on, moving somewhere far away. They have need of "maps", plural. "They" is also plural, not just obscuring gender, makes me think the song is saying that the people, as in multiple people, waiting for this person, or who will be there wherever they go, don't love them as much as the singer does. So don't fall for someone else, it's not worth it.
Could be about a fellow rocker ("my kind's your kind"), touring, packing up, maps. Perhaps asking that he remember his fangirls "don't love you like I love you."
