Who once inspired my voice
Christine fears Erik the Phantom, yet she can't let go the fact that he was her beloved teacher, her "Angel of Music", a figure that slightly resembles her connection with her beloved father. This is her complex. After all, the feeling of Christine towards Erik is not "love", in my opinion. (Though personally I do wish she could show him her true love only for him...)

This sentence indicates that perhaps Christine once dreamed of being together with the Phantom, however having been overwhelmed by his obsession, her vision towards him somehow diverted into fear and resistance... At this point, she is even fear of encounter with him once again.
