Good voice, think the lyrics are kind of stupid. You cant describe what being heartbroken is like, and im sick of songs like this.
Still, Leona has a great voice, pity it was wasted on lyrics like these.

In my opinion this song is about cheating in a relationship, and how the author (or whoever this song is "about") cant stay faithfull to his partner... He can't stay loyal to a relationship, he's cheated lots of times on his partner, and everytime he's done it he's lost him/her a bit more. Here are some lyrics which I think support my version:
"I feel insane
Every single time I'm asked to compromise
'Cause I'm afraid and stuck in my ways
And that's the way it stays"
- He's afraid he can't compromise and that he will not change from his old ways.
"So how long did I expect love to outweigh ignorance?
By the look on your face I may have forced the scale to tip"
- How long before his partner realised what was going on?
"Shame pulses through my heart from the things I've done to you"
- e.g: cheating.
"It's hard to face but the fact remains that this is nothing new"
- once again, supports the idea that he cannot and has never been able to stay loyal, "the fact remains this is nothing new".
"I'm losing the fight, I've treated you so wrong now let me make it right"
- More evidence to support the idea of unloyalty.
Anyway, its a great song (:

As far as im concerned there is no meaning to this song, unless of course, jonathan coulton has directed these lyrics to an office worker!
...Which I highly doubt, because Jonathan Coulton is a musician, not likely to be seen around an office much.
