As most have said, I beleive that this song is about being alone, that everything is messed up, that hes afraid. That hes been walking this road his whole life and is afraid to leave beacause its the only road he knows very well, like he knows what to expect. Also that when it says "im walking down the line that divides me somwhere in my mind", that hes stuck looking at everything from his point of view he cant see it from anyones elses which is affecting him. Love the song and this is only how I see it for I could be wrong

As most have said it sounds like hes talking about a realtionship that was great but somewhere along the lines things started falling apart and the girl was blaming him for it. But as a few others have said I beleive it could also mean that but for just just 2 really close friends, and they grow apart and he is blamed for it. I also think that to the writer of the song it means something way different then what we say, that there is some hidden meaning in his words as there is in a lot of songs.

To me this song is about suicide. When he says I made it through the day, it means that he made it through even though hes so depressed. The "Why you always running in place, literally means, he never gets anywhere". So then he wants his parents to understand that its his life and his chice to end it, and that hes not mad, he wants to give someone else a second chance by leaving them. So then he doesnt want people to cry about his death, that hes not afraid because he knows it what he in his mind has to do. And he wants people to listen to what hes saying right now because he cant say it again after hes dead. Then the corus again... blah, blah,blah. But I love this song, and this is merely what I beleive it means, I could be wrong XD

To me I just beleive that in this song hes comparing his love and hate and fear and trust and commitment and all that for a girl to what it would be like if you went to Hell before you got a chance too live, before you got the chance to pray for forgiveness and be able to go to Heaven instead, also I think that through the whole thing hes going back and forth like I love her, I love her not, basically arguing with himself. He wants a chance with the girl but shes not giving it, just as if he would want a chance to live and fix his mistakes to be able to go to Heaven before dying and going to Hell. Telling about how he hopes somebody would miss him I think implies to the fact that he doesnt think she wants him anymore and he feels thats just as bad. That also when he talks about perfect skies with no rain hes talkling about what Heaven would be like if he got the chance to go there. Then I think it tells about how he thinks that shes not what he needs , like when he says, give me your hand but realize I just want to say goodbye, and that things are just too weird, like when he says, this peace on Earths not right, I feel wrong and that my sign I've made up my mind, but also not that he doesnt love her, its that even though he thought in the beginning they ere meant for eachother, that he realized not only what I said before but that hes not ready for it. So basically I think this song is about him comparing a girl to Hell, arguing with himself about his love for her. I could be wrong but thats what this means to me XD
