Here we can see Mr. Squarepants explaining that if you sing along it can drown your sorrow. He later then smashes his guitar, due to his crippling depression and the sad reality that he will always be a fry cook at an overrated restaurant, and will never graduate school due to his retardation. He hid his sad reality behind the Campfire song, but in the end it all caught up to him.
