I love this song and think it's really sweet... The only part that really bugs me is when he says "And the one poor child that saved this world, and there's ten million more who probably could, if we all just stopped and said a prayer for them." Correct me if I'm wrong, but he is meaning Jesus when he sings that line. If I'm right about that, then he is wrong about the 10 million more. Jesus wasn't just the son of man, he is also the son of God. He is perfect. He is the only one who could have died for the sins of everyone in this world, because he is the only one who never sinned... |

I think he's talking to a girl who is constantly dating different guys, telling her that if she keeps it up she'll end up alone because no one is looking for a "player" (for lack of a better word) in the long run. That's what I get out of it anyway.
And it is totally true that no one wants to end up with someone like that in the long run... Girls don't want to anyway. So why do some guys think it's a sure turn-on? Clueless. |
