I truly think the deep meaning of this song is the game Russian Roulette with a gun, is directly compared to a relationship with an abusive boyfriend/spouse. With the gun you take a chance if the bullet is in the chamber and its your turn to pull the "trigger". Same as an abusive relationship. Such as he says he's sorry it won't happen again, but it has before and do you take that chance "again". That "russian roulette" chance? Cuz next time you might not live through it. I've been there myself long ago age 19 with a baby, stayed 6 months and ran away to a battered women's shelter. Thank god Rihanna got out when she did.
