When Marius and Cosette's eyes meet for the first time they are instantly in love however, this is the first time that they have really spoken. This whole song, But especially these lines, really capture what it is like to be in love. Marius does not know what to do, since he is so in love, and Cosette feels secure now that she has Marius.
