I think she was in one or more abusive relationships and has been traumatized by this, but she still comes back to them because to her it's better than being alone and it's the only relationship she knows how to seek out. She knew the guy before and he's seen it happening, and now she turns to him and he's in love with her, but she's still haunted by her mistake of being with those other guys and never listening to him, so he entreats her not to give up on him now. He remembers all of this but she doesn't want to admit it happened so it contributes to her past haunting her, and eventually she leaves (after two weeks, I presume).
But I don't know. |

i'm not sure about the suicide idea, although it could be, but i think maybe it's breaking away from the parents because he did something wrong and he needs another chance, so he's saying goodbye to have another chance with the world. he's not angry, he just needs to do things his own way because their way isn't working for him |

his voice isn't actually that high, he's going up into a falsetto. his pitch range is a good deal lower. but yeah, awesome song, the guitar is kickass. the meaning's pretty clear though. |

i kind of begin to wonder if they're actually talking about a person
"The first time's hard enough
But you made it through
The second time I see the changes in you
She's got you somehow
You're needing her now"
i kind of wonder if it's not about drugs, sort of like a hard rock "last dance with mary jane" except getting into the addiction, not getting out of it
that's just my take on it, though; it does say suggestive things, but i find it hard to believe that they would actually write a song about a prostitute |

i disagree with the temptation thing
i think it's more along the lines of he did something wrong and the demons are still following him. he tries to shake them off, but he's not looking away from them, and it's driving him mad to think that he did those things wrong and it still follows him around, and that he won't repeat mistakes. there's no repose from the past, and if he continues to look back at it, it's just going to get worse, because he's already scarred. he can't change the scars, but he can change how he faces them: instead of running away, he can face up to the past.
it's just about how looking back at the past, and making youself relive it every day makes you insane because there's still a present and a future. |

i somewhat agree with the majority here. although i think that it's saying also that they need to break away from the choice that lures them into failure
"I climb to the top of that mountain again
No one is going to save me this way
And the closer to the top I get
The more they take aim"
they may not be perfect, but they want to make the right choice
and if they were perfect, it would be easy, but they're not, so, naturally, it's hard, extremely hard, because they're lured by the temptation to let go, but they know they also have to hold the reins and not let their life spiral out of control

it could be about manipulating people and using that to get to the top, someone has to dance to stay out of his/her way because they destroy everyone in their path to get there first, and it came from someone who wasn't suspected for it
i kind of agree with xoxo77, it could be about the devil, or at least someone who is using the same sort of tactics as the devil
then again, it could be a political song, politicians are said to tend to lie their way to the top |

i think it's about synyster gates and the rev, actually
although it could be about the bond between all of them, they have to be very close in order to be able to stand each other for all the time they play together, tour together, record together, etc |

well, i've fallen in love with this song
and it's pretty much about people who are stuck in a whole and don't want to admit it, hence the dead people trying to hide that they're dead.
it's really a great song, with a very full sound |

ok, um, knowledgeoftruth, i'm a perfectionist, and that was much.
the tower of babylon; it's almost like today with people trying to play God; they were trying to get to heaven. and kingofsongs, all lyrics have a meaning, not to mention the fact that if they didn't we would pretty much laugh at all the people making music because it would be gibberish, which in today's society is almost acceptible, but not quite |

it's pretty much about disrespecting the troops, obviously. "someone's kid in the heart of america has blood on their hands, fighting to defend your rights so you can maintain a lifestyle that insults its family's existence..." it's blatantly about soldiers and the pharisee that support the troops as long as they're in the war, but once the latter return back to their country, the former then are "imposed upon" by the excessive amounts of people. it's also be the people that admonish the united states for its freedom and rights and they live here, which is obviously hypocrisy to a very high and asinine degree (the "generous hypocrisy" which pays taxes but doesn't support its own country) |

this could, quite possibly, be a political song.
or a song about standing up for what you believe in even when you're alone, and there are people standing in the way and pushing you down and then you prevail and then they're asking for help and you say screw off |

i think it's about war (war in our blood, somethings never change, fighting for land and personal gain..) and how we're all selfish and lost in ourselves even if we don't realize it. most of us aren't right (in the mental sense of the word) and we should probably just accept that, becuase it's not changing anytime soon |

i agree with BigTony615. mostly. however, i don't think they're speaking out about suicide, simply being taken off life support and so on. more along the lines of letting them go rather than assisting them in killing themselves. yes, brompton cocktail is an elixir as rllaxpimp00 and xMeganSevenfold. however, simply because that's the name of the song does not mean that's specifically what the song is about, and those are fairly shallow observations.
the song could also be about facing pain and eliminating it, i suppose. thus the brompton cocktail affiliation |

xMeganSevenfold-i doubt it. that may have been the original name of the song, but it's more about how our lives are tumultous and somewhat like a rollercoaster, thus the term "the wild ride" and the phrase "this ride that takes me through life, leads me into darkness but emerges into light" |

this song is about vampires. just because it says "scream", "pleasure", and "desire" does not make it about sex. all of those can be associated with the vampire and his prey. obviously, A7xforlifebabyyy, you're just addicted to the idea of everything being correlated with sex. and as for PoorBlondeDestiny14 with the rape thing, why would a band be talking about raping someone in a song? that would be a public confession with a crime that supposedly isn't tolerated in america, thus making it a very unlikely hypothesis |

great solo done by synyster gates.
the lyrics are great: we make mistakes in life, and we are sinners, but we still have the chance to deliver ourselves from evil, this is one of my favorite songs |

i think it's about how we're changing and we can see the situation from different angles as we change, so the situation isn't changing, but our standpoint is, so it seems like it is in our eyes. just my thoughts, though. |
